Prime Minister Stephan Weil awards Picum MT as Excellent Place 2018

With the project “Mobile Machine Tool Picum” the Picum MT GmbH belongs to the five innovative prize winners of the competition “Ausgezeichnete Orte im Land der Ideen” (engl. “Excellent Places in the Land of Ideas”) 2018 from Lower Saxony. At a reception in Hannover on August 13th, prime minister Stephan Weil welcomed the five awarded companies and congratulated them on their exemplary commitments and achievements.

A top-class jury selected Picum MT from almost 1,500 submitted applications as one of 100 outstanding projects in Germany. The initiative “Germany – Land of Ideas” and Deutsche Bank have jointly organized the innovation competition for 13 years.

Dr.-Ing. Dominik Brouwer, CEO and founder of Picum MT GmbH, is very pleased about the special recognition: “The award is of great benefit to us and we are proud to be the only start-up from Lower Saxony among the winners”.

“Germany – Land of Ideas” is the joint project of the Federal Government and German industry, represented by the BDI. Deutsche Bank has been a partner and national sponsor of the “Ausgezeichnete Orte im Land der Ideen” (engl. “Excellent Locations in the Land of Ideas”) competition since 2006. The aim is to strengthen the performance and sustainability of Germany and to make the innovations visible at home and abroad.
